ASUS Crosshair IV Onboard Upgrade To ASUS Xonar DGX?
 

Will I hear a difference in sound quality? For now I'm just using $10 Sony ear buds, no headset/speakers. I chose this one over the DSX because I'm using primarily the headphone out and the DGX is supposed to be better for that use. I found one for around $50 shipped if i price match with NCIX.

No you won't hear any difference, the on board is pretty decent.

I have the same MOBO and I tried different sound cards and didn't hear anything worthy of adding a card in .

Thanks for the input. I'm going to stick with the on board audio, it's pretty decent anyways
