Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1 issue Hi I have the Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1 they sounded great up until a month ago now the sound is very low until I crank it up to almost full volume then I can hear sound. I live in Edmonton Alberta and was wondering if you guys had any advice on what I should do if I need to buy a receiver and sub my budget would be max $300. |
You can try and fix the promedias there is documentation online for it. |
Have you tried to contact Klipsch yet? I'm not trying to offend your intelligence in any manner, but have you checked the Windows Volume? Aside from fixing it, NCIX has a couple of decent options for replacement within your budget. Logitech Z506 5.1 Surround Speaker System 75W RMS - Logitech - 980-000430 Corsair Gaming Audio Series SP2500 High Power 2.1 232W RMS 8IN Subwoofer PC Speaker System - Corsair - CA-SP211NA Personally I'd go with the Corsair set, or splurge a bit for Logitech's Z-906. |
My ProMedia's recently crapped out too. Thankfully I had a spare Yamaha receiver, so I just picked up a cheap Martin Logan 8" sub and went on my way. I also bought some Klipsch B10 bookshelves to use as my fronts since 2" plastic speakers really don't cut it with a HT receiver. But there's ways to fix it yourself, or you can send it to somebody else who will do it for you. Apparently the turn around is very slow though. Going through Klipsch for support is probably iffy and expensive. These speakers have been long discontinued. |
I may be interested in buying the broken 5.1's off you which could help with your upgrade.... |
