I personally don't think you will find a better quality card for the price of a used one. There still may be one or two in the BST forum for probably less than what they cost new and quality wise are not too far from the STX. Hmm, I guess they don't make the Prelude anymore. Looks like there are a ton of options to choose from though. Check out the Auzentech Studio. Comes with a 9 pin din that looks to have rca cables and it's only $26.99! That may be about the cheapest and easiest solution.

Actually for a few bucks Molded 3.5mm to 2 x RCA Splitter Cable Male to Male will allow me to split any of the channels from 3.5mm to RCA and I "may" have a line on a used Pheobus for around 100$

I would say that because Arinoth's hooking to an amp and not a processor/receiver, the better the sound card he has the better the end result will be.

No arguments there.

Yep, that's why I'm going to try to go after the cheap Pheobus I mentioned.

Looks like no B Stock, however I was given a quote to how much it would cost to send it to Canada, around 460$ with them refunding any charges that did not occur during the process (such as the brokerage fee, etc)

Can't really argue with that....at least not with what you are getting anyways. So are you going to take the plunge? It's funny but I'm actually a bit excited for you haha.

I don't think you ever mentioned what make of speakers you have?

I'm more or less contemplating it, wished the finally cost was slightly less (50$) but not much one can do about it. Thankfully some of my BST stuff sold for a bit more then I thought it would have.

My speaker system is the Samsung PS-AF720S that came in htib a few years ago. The receiver had a chip go, best buy isn't out east so they refunded the purchase cost leaving me with essentially free speakers as I replaced the receiver with the onkyo that's off being repaired (hopefully)

I think I will go ahead and order it from them in the morning. It's not like there is a better option out there for me for quality sound, and that amplifier should keep with me a long time (allowing me to swap in a receiver down the line).

4ohm HTIB speakers? Are you positive? I've only ever seen those at either 6 or 8

** EDIT **

Checked with google and they are.. next question..

Did your receivers have a large or small speaker option? And if so what setting did you have it on?

** EDIT **
Good article to read:
Receiver and 4 ohm speakers?
