My System Specs

Default Weird audio problems

I have a Gigabyte MB with 5.1 sound connected to a logitech 5.1 speaker set up and until recently it has been working fine. Currently I can play itunes music and it sounds great but when i download a youtube video or episode of southpark in either chrome or IE the sound volume is extremely low and muffled. Even turning up the volume you can't really understand what is being said. I can see the volume levels rise and fall but nothing seems to be coming out of the speakers. Testing the speakers via the control panel seems to test fine. Realtek driver is up to date and enabled and working. Any thoughts?
