Bought An iPod Touch, Need Apps!

First & foremost, are there any amazing media players that make Apple's vanilla one look bad?

And, any other apps you think I should look into, preferably free at the moment.

I was thinking more along the lines of music when I mentioned a media player, I should've been more specific. I don't plan on watching any films on the iPod yet, down the road maybe when I get used to it.
