Realtek HD Audio Manager issues

I have a Gigabyte 990 FXA UD3 mobo and have a b***h of a time trying to get my headset audio and speakers to play @ the same time,(front and rear),I use Eve voice and when I try to change any settings in the audio manager it gets messy.Last 2 times I had to use restore point to get back to Realtek defaults.
Is there any work arounds or 3rd part software to control the audio? I do not want to buy separate sound card.I know playing with audio settings can mess things up and am looking for an easier solution.
Any ideas no matter how technical will be appreciated.

I know on one of my systems, the Realtek configuration software has an option to cut audio to other speakers when headset is connected. Is that what you are trying to disable?
