Question about sound card placement in relation to video card.

I'm starting down my long and dark path of becoming an audiophile. I have my first dedicated soundcard coming in the mail and I was thinking. I got an Asus Xonar Essence STX. Does it matter where I have the soundcard placed on my motherboard? Should I try to keep it as far away from my GTX 570 as possible to eliminate any interference it might cause? Or is the soundcard built to eliminate things like that already?
Thanks.

You aren't going to get any interference from your graphics card or any other part in your computer so you can put it wherever you want.

Yeah, you won't get any interference. Just put it where it looks best or is most convenient.

What they said. Put it anywhere. I have mine sandwiched in between my 2GPUs, it gets super hot, but has been running great for 2 years now.

Yes,you can put it anywhere you want,so you might as well put in a slot as far away from the video card as you can. Less chance of heat issues etc. that way.
