ASUS' Xonar lineup has received a new addition with the ROG Xonar Phoebus, a gamer-oriented sound card which includes a break out box controller for volume settings, Dolby® Home Theater V4 surround sound and a GX3.0 gaming audio engine.

Is the cable for the control box actually shielded as well? It looks kind of thick for just two 3.5mm ports.
