If you can afford it,get the Xonar Xense package with the PC 350 headphones. I have that package, and the Xense card is one of,if not THE best gaming card available. I'm a 5.1 analog headphone user,so I don't use the 350's. I'm not a fan of digital surround. If you want a very good gaming package, then go for Xonar etc.

I can't believe ASUS doesn't have a stand alone card available for the Xense.

Anyways, if you need a sound card and headphones, you probably can't beat the Xense bundle. I personally have the PC360s and love them.

Just to check these are the right products?

Thanks for the help so far!
Those are PX 360's, meant for portable usage. I was talking about the PC 360. It seems it'll still be within budget though.

If you're wondering about the Xense bundle, I strongly recommend going to a store to demo the PC 350's first. The Xense soundcard (modded Xonar D2X) is very good, but the PC350 isn't without serious drawbacks and requires lots of burn in time and amplification. I like mine, but many people that have tried mine would pass on a free pair.

Hey

So I have finally had a chance to get the new soundcard/headset up and running (the Xense bundle) and am wondering what the best settings are. Currently I have:

Audio channels: 2
Sample rate: 192 KHz
Analog out: headphone
PCM: unchecked
7.1 virtual speaker shifter: unchecked
Dolby pro logic 11x: unchecked
Dolby headphone: unchecked

The other tabs such as mixer, effect and flexbass I have not touched at all from the defaults - nor do I have any modes on such as fps, hi-fi etc.

Any help appreciated!
