Discrete Audio kicks ass!
 

I have an old 5.1 system from when I was younger.

I finally got around to hooking it up to my MB's discrete audio channels, and am now getting full 5.1 sound.

Wow. What a difference from just having 2 channel, especially when gaming! Even high def movies play in 5.1. I don't know why I didn't do this earlier!
