My System Specs

Default Speakers.

Hey guys.

Just a note before I start this off... I've moved country and as such am ordering from a Ukrainian website (Russian language)

I've had to leave my sound-system at home and am looking for something decent but not necessarily loud.

2.1 is preferred but not required. As I'm in a medium sized room I'd like some bass but it's in an apartment so I won't be cranking them up very far.

I am using on-board sound (may some-day change this but for now it's staying on-board)
Budget is anything really. from 20 bucks to 200 if I can justify the quality for the cost (I'm a bang for buck kinda guy).

The site I'll be ordering from is Rozetka.ua
and I've been looking at Rozetka.ua | Edifier E3100 Black
at 53 dollars. I have to say I do like some of the edifier stuff and have been looking at everything from a c2 to c200

More a fan of traditional shape speaker (not domes / flat etc)

But I've very little knowledge about the massive selection and what's shit and what's good.

Any good input is appreciated.

P.S Wireless remote is a LARGE Bonus but not required. (for watching shows from the Couch)

While the satellites are tough on the eyes, I just picked up a set of Altec Lansing Octane 7 speakers and I am AMAZED at the sound. THey are cheap to be found on Ebay and yo get separate tweeters, mids and a thumping sub. I am VERY pick with my sound as well. Best possible bang for the buck in my opinion.

I'll never touch logitech speakers. Every single system I've seen of theirs has had horribly muddy and overpowering bass.

I'm ordering from rozetka.ua no exception. if it's not on there I can't get it. ebay is out. I'll be killed on import duty otherwise.
Therefore the Klipsh and Altec are out. (before you consider the price of the Klipsch, 250 bucks is too much and 200 watts is far beyond what I need)

There is however ALOT of choice there and I'm a lil fanatical about getting the most for my money. so if anyone has time to have a quick browse I'd be very grateful.

Settled on Edifier R2000T. Anyone have experience of these?

Will update on thursday when I get them as to their quality. :)

So.. I've been using these for a few days and here is my thoughts.

1) They are much larger than I expected (didn't check the dimensions when buys) and are bloody heavy at that.

2) They are pretty damn loud for my needs.

3) The quality is good, not superb but very decent. I think an investment in a decent sound card would show what they can really do.

4) No need for a separate sub.
While they don't give the same punch as a system with a separate one the lows are nice, warm and not muddy like my last system (cheap logitec pos)

Overall I'm pretty happy.. for their price (95 $) the quality is very good.

I give them (in respect to their price point and a 2.0 system) 8 - 8.5/10
Could be better but my sound-card (on-board) is at least half of the minor lack in audio quality I can hear.

I'd suggest the Edifier S330D I've got a set and I love em (though i've been tempted to get a set of corsair SP2500s). The satellites are very clear and the bass isn't overpowering. You can also take advantage of the digital output.
