choose my sound card
 

i want 1 that will be good for gaming, i dont need anything $500 just something around $100 that will get the job done, any suggestions?

If you want something cheap, I suggest Asus Xonar DG. They are always on sale under $30.

I found it to be okay, but then again, I downgraded from an HT Omega Striker. Okay as in sounds didn't WOW me like the Striker did.

At around $60, Asus Xonar DX is a popular choice among this forum.

I agree with the Xonar DX suggestion above...I've been very happy with mine and it hasn't given me any problems. The drivers are nice and light and work well (no crashes or anything).

TBH, anything higher than the Xonar DX is starting to get into more high-end audio and wouldn't suit you...just judging from your post, it doesn't sound like you want anything audiophile grade.

Can't go wrong with that card, good bang for buck.
