Best 5.1 speakers for under $200?? Hello, I had these (Logitech Z-5300E Speakers 5.1 280W RMS 560W THX) were great speakers, but they have started to have issues, rear speakers are not getting sound etc. So it looks like its time to replace. From what I see, it looks like prices are about $90 for ok 5.1 Logitech speakers and $400 for kick-ass 5.1 THX Logitech speakers, is there a good middle ground??? |
I picked up the older logitech x540 set for $50 refurb at factorydirect (canadacomputers has similar prices) and they're not bad. I'm not too sure if there is much between them for logitech anyway. I really am fond of the top end logitech stuff, as cheap as $250 on sale if you can wait. |
There isn't much in the way of good "middle ground" from what I've seen. If you're only going to spend under $200 then get some decent 2.x's rather than buy crappy 5.1's... at least in my opinion. |
Thanks guys, but it looks like I was a bit premature. After messing with my settings, and discovering one one the rear speaker wires was defective, I am now again pumping out amazing sound with these old bad boys NCIX.com - Buy Logitech Z-5300E Speakers 5.1 280W RMS 560W THX /W Wired Remote - Logitech - 970102-1403 - in Canada It's gonna suck when they do die. |
