Info gathered suggests that Auzentech will add high performance audio opamps as upgrade options for their soundcards that have the appropriate sockets. e.g X-fi Prelude, X-Meridian 7.1
For instance a person can order a X-fi Prelude with it's existing LM4562 opamp or they can order the card with a different opamp installed and tested in the front channel socket. This is great news for people who are unsure on installing opamps or are unsure which ones to use.
The info also states Auzentech will be using very high end units for upgrade options and the user can order the opamps installed on the card and tested, shipped uninstalled with the card or sold separately. It seems Auzentech is pushing the bar once again and offering their customers options to further improve on their soundcards. Many audio enthusiasts have talked about such ideas as made to order soundcards with user selectable "boutique" opamps but it seems Auzentech took it one step further and actually made it a reality for their customers. We will strive to keep this thread totally up to date with information related to this line of products.
