Oh damn, I think I meant the SB Live versions, since I must have 40 of them and they all won't work in newer installs.

Here is the list of compatible products with windows 7, looks like only the 24bit Live is supported.

I use the unofficial daniel_k SB Audigy Series Support Pack 3.8 with my SB Audigy 1394 (SB0090) in Windows 7 Ultimate x64. I haven't encountered any problems so far. Basically that pack bundles most of the Creative drivers and software together in one pack. I never tried the official Creative drivers so I can not compare.

The Daniel K story is why I won't ever buy another Creative card again.

I recommend everyone else to do the same.

What's the model name of those speakers?

Creative Worldwide Support > Speaker Systems

EDIT: It depends on your budget.

Unlimited Budget (keep in mind i dont need a card that is overkill)
Speakers Are not in Creatives current line up, similar to Inspire T6160 / T6200
5.1 Surround Speakers Probably the original Inspire model.

*edit Creative Inspire 5.1 5300 Dolby Digital Speakers

hmm... Xonar DS or DG. Both are less than $50 but both of them are out of stock...

Auzentech X-Raider @ $40

Asus Xonar D1 or DX @ $70

The Xonar DG, DS, and X Raider are fairly basic. Xonar D1, DX are better in terms of sound quality.

Hello all. Just wanted to post that the SB0090 does with with Windows 7. I downloaded the drivers from: Creative Worldwide Support

The drivers are not signed by MS, but the sound and 1394 work fine.
