Which headset is the best?

Hi guys,
I consider to buy a headset, here are my considerations:
Logitech G35 7.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset (Click for the link)
Logitech F540 Wireless Gaming Headset
Logitech Wireless Gaming Headset G930

I don't know which one is better .
DO you guys have any others suggestions?

G930 is better than the G35s as you get more control over the positional audio of the virtual surround sound...as well as wireless abilities.
The 540 is the NONusb variant. IIRC its similar to the others its just that it doesnt come with a DAC.

All depends on what your needs are. IF you have a good soundcard...the 540 by a mile. If you need a USB based one....the 930s.

As for alternative recommendations, the Corsair HS1s are decent for USB.
IF you need 3.5mm "real" cans...get a pair of HD555s and a clip on mic. MUCH better sound than these headsets.

I just got my G35 and love it, $80 refurb at Canada Computers. For the value, it's great. I would love the wireless feature, but it isn't worth the extra cost at this time. Akg, is there much benefit to the additional control, just curious.

The G35/G930 are nearly identical though otherwise, I can speak highly of them :)

The ability to customize where each of the virtual speakers can come in handy for games which do surround sound...BADLY. Being able to tweak it can make the dif...sometimes. Is it worth it. That depends. I personally preferred the 930s to the 35s, but thats just me and I strongly prefer REAL headsets (nonUSB) to any of these USB dac based ones. YMMV

Personally I'd be really annoyed if my headset's battery crapped out while gaming, so from those 3 choices I'd pick the Logitech G35.

I also view the specs as a gimmick (7.1/5.1?)...the lack of sound quality is far more detrimental. For gaming, you need accuracy and detail for there to be "good position", along with a wide sound stage. I'd go with what AKG suggested, the HD 555 + clip on mic, or better yet, the AD700 (open) + clip on mic.

You can plug in the 930s and use them...its not like you cant charge em while you use em ;)

But yeah HD555 and mod them (very easy to do) or the AD700s would be better. Mics are CHEAP. :)

Unfortunately the HD555's aren't available at NCIX currently. I know, I was just about to buy a set a couple weeks ago when the sku disappeared.

I can see the differences now.
However, the HD555 is no longer available... Is there a new verison for that model? or is there a similar headset that is comparable to HD555?

Also, For the F540 i can use this on PC and the console at the same time . Am i right? like you can swtich to the different channels by click on the G buttom that's on the headset.

I would look at Sennheiser's PC360's. It has the microphone attachment and same driver as the HD555's.
