My System Specs

Default Auzentech Forte PCI-E 7.1 Back

Just saw this back in stock after what seems like ages:

NCIX.com - Buy AuzenTech Forte Low Profile PCI-E 7.1 Sound Card PCI-E Dolby Digital Live Headphone AMP - AZTXFF7105551 In Canada.

O.K. here's a question:

If I purchase this can I download and use the Creative software which is already familiar to me, specifically Media Source Player (used esp. for recording "What you hear" samples) and Wave Studio (used mostly for simple .mp3 and .wav editing)? Is there equivalent (or the same) software included with the Auzentech?

They're included in the Auzentech drivers seeing as Creative is the ones who make them.

Nice, thanks! This will be mine, oh yes...
Happy with the Burr-Brown OPA2134PA? Where did you get it from?

Also: Found the ROBSCIX review this morning which confirms the software included and looks at a few high-end opamps as well:

eBay, and I'm happy with them. I didn't have the PC350's with the stock ones so I can't really comment on the differences in sound between the two.

I believe that's actually cheaper than what it used to retail for normally. I know I got mine on sale for $130 (And I know it went for $99 at one point), but I don't think $145 is too bad.

It's an excellent price, especially looking at what else is out there. I spent 100 more on the Xonar Essence, which is more card than I really need, or wanted.

I have a question about the headphone amp that is built into these Auzen cards, do you have to set the amplification in the software like you do for the Xonar Xense, or is it automatic? How does the card know how much juice to feed the headphones?

I just ordered one of these today myself.

As for the amp, from what I've read it's very, very loud by default until you adjust the volume a bit.
