Major Headphone issues need help!

Hey guys, I purchased Turtle Beach dx 21 today, and my usb mic is annoying the **** out of me. Basically when i talk in the mic i hear echo/self in the headset. Like you would have mic enabled in speakers. So I would just have to disable that function but!!! I can't because under my usb speaker setup in playback devices I don't see an option for it what the hell!!!.

I have uinstalled usb drivers 2x on my desktop.
and my windows 7 laptop same issue.
Its like line in mic is enabled on the usb some how. I cant find a way to disable it and im not getting 5.1 or em i able to switch to other functions on the earforce dss. I'm so confused i really need this fixed or this was a nice waste of 179$

In windows 7, right click on the speaker icon in the taskbar. Click on recording devices. Click once on your microphone, then on properties. Somewhere in there is a monitoring check box, turn it off. That should disable the microphone pickup being repeated in your local speakers.

Are you referring to the "Listen to this device" Thats been unchecked all along.

Don't Have those options. You wouldn't believe this but the either my headset is defective. Or the looping echo sound is a feature turtle beach has for their headphones. This is what I have lead to after couple people on other forums confirmed it. Defiantly returning this pile of junk.
