In search of decent bugdet minded headphones.

Hey HWC community, I'm looking for some decent headphones that will fit my budget (nothing above 130$). I'm not so concerned about high quality sound, I'm more into the build quality and will it last some casual abuse. I tend to listen to music and videos for hours while i work on other tasks, I really hate complete silence. What i mean about casual abuse would be like if i dropped it on the floor, or stuffed in my backpack while i walk from lecture to lecture. I would also like it so that when i wear the headphones on my neck, that it doesn't choke me to death lol. I am not really loyal to any brand, I would prefer local stores (Canada computers, NCIX, bestbuy, futureshop, etc). If the deal is appealing enough, i will consider an online purchase.

I looked around and the Sennheiser HD418 seem pretty good, but some say the plastic feels pretty weak. I also been looking at skullcandy G.I. Headband headphones I know most of you would agree that skullcandy headphones are not the greatest thing in the world, but I like the style and I wouldn't mind them being seen on my neck 24/7.

Audio Technica ATH M50 comes to mind.

What are you looking for in particular, open air? or closed? Balanced? Bassy?

To be honest I don't completely understand those terms, let me google them and ill come back with an answer.

I found one on ebay for 72.66$ and free shipping, from china though (so I'm going to expect its going to take a while to ship). My main concern is ebay, never bought anything from there so I'm hesitant . New and used Audio-Technica ATH-M50, Electronics, Musical Instruments on eBay.ca
