Although, you couldve bought a used brand speakers set. I bought my psb towers/centre for $160 for all 3, two years ago. The previous owner even gave me the original receipt, warranty card for the price. It was in mint condition, haven't properly broken in yet since he lived in an apt.
Granted, the set was at least 5 years old.... But it was in mint condition! No scratches, no dead speakers, the rubber surrounds still looked great.
I'm still looking for a velodyne sub, but I'm gonna go the used set for now until I can afford new ones.
