Default Wireless 5.1 Desktops?

Is there such an animal available? If so,has anyone here heard them? With all the toys available, wires become a real pain. At least for me.I would even go with 2.1 if they are good and no wires. Can anyone advise? Thanks.

There really isn't much out there for wireless speakers and those out there are as great of sound quality compared to wired. So i've read anyways

Thanks for the quick response.I use headphones primarily so the wireless idea is to eliminate desk top clutter. I will keep looking around.

You won't find wireless for desktop.

You'll find wireless for home audio.. but they aren't that great and usually cost a bit.

Wireless is usually a bigger PITA then they are worth. Even if your speakers do not have signal wires you still require power either from batteries or power cables.

If I recall, Logitech toyed with a set a while back. It wasn't a success though because the rears (wireless) had limited frequency range and thus suffered severely from an audio quality perspective.

Honestly though, speaker wire is rather thin so it's pretty easy to hide/tuck away so I'm not sure what the big issue is? You can easily tack it to the walls/ceiling/baseboards, may not look the best, but it'll be out of the way.

Otherwise just get a nice 2.1 set from Klipsch or Edifier.
