My System Specs

Default testing 5.1 speakers.

Hello all, i just bought some 5.1 speakers and can't seem to get the center, and rear left & right to work.
I've set it up as 5.1 speakers in the sound tools, all plugged in right. and tried playing a movie that has 5.1 in VLC, made sure it was setup for 5.1 audio. no go, so i downloaded a 5.1 audio tester, but it's all in swedish and i don't understand it so i can't tell which speakers it's testing. Anything else i need to do? thanks.

What sound card? If the video has a 5.1 AC3 soundtrack you need to go under the Audio menu header, the audio device, then SPDIF.
