Default Auzentech Forte - Static Issues

Ok so when I'm playing games I seem to get some static. Just wondering if that's typical for all forte's or just the one that I have.

No man, your sound should be fantastic, that is what sound cards are for. Check your connections, and if possible, your audio without the card (onboard?) If onboard sounds better, then RMA that card.

You obviously haven't seen the Auzentech forums. The great Auzen cards are gimped by Creative's (lack of) drivers.
My card does the same crap, but usually after I close a game or flash video. To get rid of it I just change my sound settings from 2.1 to quadraphonic to 2.1. Goes away after that, at least for a little while.

My forte was notorious for buzzing. Typical driver problem. What I can recommend to you is this
SB X-Fi Series Support Pack 2.0 (05/15/2009) - Creative Labs

A friend of mine showed this to me, and fixed a few problems I've been having with my Prelude..namely it not working at all.

Remove all your current drivers and use Driver cleaner to wipe whatever is left. Then install this fresh.
