Default SoundBlaster's new Audiophile grade soundcard

VR-Zone Exclusive: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD Previewed by VR-Zone.com | COMPUTEX 2010

thought i would pass it along. Yes i know a lot of you hate sound blaster, but hey, i grew up with them, i am interested in what they do. Interested to see if it beats out asus's essence.

Component wise it does look rather impressive. Even visually it looks great. I also like the fact that it has optical input/outputs which I find myself lacking w/ my Essence STX.

Sure as hell looks nice, but it's all about the drivers as well. Drivers are what make me steer far clear of them, and since Auzentech uses X-Fi, it's a lot of the same shite.

Looks interesting, but somehow I doubt that the price will be reasonable. Creative likes to charge ridiculous prices for average hardware.

As much as I hate Creative, and how I swore I would never use them, I have yet to find a sound card that suits my taste (music quality) as my old Audigy 2 ZS.

THX Certified. Very nice but we all know how much that certification means...

Not bad looking at all, although if they're serious about trying to bring out a new top-end card, I would have thought they might want to make a break with the "Titanium" name. Or maybe it's still a good name - I haven't looked at them since getting my Prelude way back.

They're not out yet, but you'd be better off with one of these: NCIX.com - Buy ASUS Xonar Essence STX PCI-E1 SPDIF Sound Card 124DB SNR W/ Headphone AMP - XONAR ESSENCE STX In Canada.
