My System Specs

Default Home receiver to PC

Hey,

i got a Denon Home Receiver with 400W of speakers and a 350W Self powered Sub.. haha

i tought of connecting it to my PC..

i dont know how SPDIF works, anyone could enlight me..?

If you're talking about PC output to the receiver, get a toslink cable (Optical SPDIF). It works great.

connect it to any optical input on the back of the receiver - Denons have optical in.

I use that setup for my HTPC, works great. I use digital coax though but same thing.

I prefer using coaxial digital(the orange output on the board) vs optical digital because the plugs for optical are shit at best. When I was using optical out and someone slammed the door shut the damn cable would fall out all the time. No difference in sound mind you.
