Angry hard way to find out if it work good- by buying it lol

well sure wish i would have did my homework before i bought one of the card

Can you return it? Around the forums it is well known. You would be better off with a Audigy 2 or X-Music. Some just see the X-fi name and buy it.
I suggest selling and replacing with a X-Music or X-Gamer. Not to mention the a PRELUDE 7.1

XtremeMusic isn't available anymore, but you can buy them second hand.

The X-fi Prelude is the one to get save for X-fi Elite Pro (which has a breakout box and recording ability aimed for prosumer and not gamer). If your speakers are cheaper than your sound card though, you need better stereo.
