Soundcard to go with these headphones?

I recently bought this headset:

NCIX.com - Buy Sony MDRXB700 50MM Extra Bass Headphones 3-28000HZ 24OHM 106DB/MW - MDRXB700 In Canada.

I'm using onboard sound right now and I imagine that a sound card will really do my new headphones justice. (I also have a Logitech X540 5.1 speaker system set up at my desk) Just wondering what sound card would be best for use with my headphones mostly, and sometimes my speakers.

It needs to be fairly priced, I'm not a mega audiophile and don't need something overkill. And it needs to have some nifty settings I can change cause I usually like fiddling with that.

I'd try the Xonar DX, or check out reviews on the AuzenTech X-Plosion for a bit less. I don't know that card but the higher end AuzenTech Forte gets good reviews.

If you think you may be using your headphones alot, or may have the itch to upgrade them even further, take a look at the reviews of the Xonar Essence STX with a headphone amp. I just got one and like it so far, and is supported under Windows 7. It may be worth it for you, since you specifically mentioned fairly expensive headphones. However, it is more expensive than you are asking for, so you'll have to judge.

I'm using the X-540 speaker setup with the auzentech xplosion. for the price, I'm sure you'll be happy.

I bought my X540 refurbished from factory direct for $55 refurbished and with the auzentech xplosion they sound great for the price. I like the feature that cuts out your speakers when you plug your headphones into the volume controller.
