My System Specs

Default hooked up tv sound out to sound card in but I don't hear the TV

I changed my HTPC set a bit. and to get the sound from my tv I hooked up the output ( left ,right rca sound out) from my tv to the Xonar dx line in, the problem is I am not receiving any sound from my TV, all of the other sounds I can hear but nothing from my TV. is this a Xonar configuration problem? I am using Windows 7 if this helps
