Yeah I demoed them along side the Logitech ones, even though I'm a Logitech fanboy I wasn't happy with either. For gaming I guess they'd be fine, you have to remember that I am an audio engineer and the slightest difference in sound will make me freak the hell out. Headphones are good for one thing, spacial awareness. Which, being "surround sound" these will do the trick; but when I tested them they lacked in high end response. Bass is nice and all but there's a whole lot of good sound in the 12-14k range and these things just didnt get there.

p.s. I love the old avatar haha but it's time to move on, the new one excites me for now ahahaha

I would definitely pay that cash for headphones, NOT for gaming headphones though! There's NO need for surround sound headphones since true surround speakers give you better spacial awareness than headphones ever could; since the distance between the source and your ears is exactly what gives you the feeling... also there's no such thing as a subwoofer in headphones, because those suckers don't even have cabinets on them and the only thing that separates subs from tweaters is their size and the fact they are in a deep cab. These are gimmicky at best (as are ALL Surround sound headphones, because you can't defy the laws of physics) and are not worth the powder to blow them up with!

Edit: Did i mention that FEW if any games are actually mixed in true surround? I've opened the audio files in a few games and these things are only panned stereo. Which is fine because true stereo is actually better than surround. But no one invests in surround sound mixing except george lucas; and he's retarded.

Not sure about the Psyko's (probably will give them a shot eventually). But the Triton AXPro's I have work pretty good in COD4 for positioning of sounds in game.

Call me if you need a hand. I have a busy weekend planned but I should be able to swing by if you need me for anything.

Besides, I want to try them again.

Hi Everyone: Sorry for the delay with the Psyko headphones. I'm having trouble with my computer. It's a Dell, what can I say. Should have it up and running in a couple of days.

Okay Ladies and Gents,I finally got everything on my Comp. running. I must tell you that these Psyko cans perform exactly as advertised. It is like having a room on your head.Positional effects are absolute. No doubt where and from what direction sound is coming from. The Psyko cans are fairly big. About the same size and fit as Tritton. Once you have them on,they feel almost tailor made. The Tritton cans feel the same once on. Turtle Beach are looser fitting but they too are pretty comfortable. Out of all my Headphones ,in my opinion, the Psyko provide the better quality of sound with Tritton coming second and Turtle Beach third. Our friend Encorp makes mention of a lack of spacial spread. I find that on my system, they sound almost too spacial. When playing games usin other headphones be they 5.1 or stereo, the sound is much closer if you know what I mean. They lack the spread or the spacial sond enjoyed from good desk top speakers that encorp talked about. This is demanded by serious Gamers.Psyko has somehow accommodated that preference with thier amazing technology that,in my opinion, should be followed with Psyko building a sound card with equal forward design thinking. This is a Canadian company. They are built in Canada. The support is Canadian. The profit they make is spread around Canada. Oh Canada! How they work in theory can best be explained by Psyko themselves. The big concern however,is the price. Are they worth $300? We pay that for good desk tops. While there is no doubt other cans work fine, what with CMSS,Dolby etc.,there is no substitute for having the best and in my opinion these are.Take the time to visit thier site. There are coupons available. I paid only $200cdn for mine.I know i forgot a lot of pertinent info as I was excited and wanted to get back to all of you quickly, There is truly a lot more to know about Psyko so its well worth a visit. By the way,I am using my Auzentech Prelude in my XPS 730X,i7965Extreme factory O.C,GTX280 Video in SLI 6gigs ram and a X58 mb Windows 7 Utimateetc. I look forward to talking with all of you so feel free. This is a great community.Take care.

Thanks for the info! I don't think I could ever spend that much unless I got to use them in person. Maybe if they went for sale locally or at BB/FS I could give them a shot.

they have a mic as well do they not? Can you comment on how that is? That will seal the deal for me. And you mention coupons, where are these said coupons?
