Default Sound card VS onboard

so im thinking of dropping the sound card, because i don't use studio grade quality i just need gaming quality 5.1 audio and the damn thing takes up a slot that interfeers with future SLI, and a front bay slot.

So im wondering would my X58 LE`s built in 7.1 audio do the trick, or am i beter of to look the tri sli ability to use the silly card

Well why don't you try it if you have the speakers on you and see if you notice a difference. If you don't, go with onboard, if you do, stick with sound card
