Does anyone know if there will be a "platinum version?" I use that term due to Creative coining.

In other words in there going to be an I/O drive that comes with it or a different kind of bundle other then just the sound card?

ie; One without called the "Gamer" another with Called the "Gamer Plus" another version that would include in place of the I/O drive an external Module that would sit on top of your PC or your desk.

BTW, I have an X-Fi Fatality for sale.

Well if you look at this card there is indeed a expansion header on the card.
Now, I have not been able to verify If this is compatible with existing Creative expansion devices such as the 5 1/4" drive bays. It is possible Auzentech may be planning such products in the future but if they are I have heard nothing of them.
Except of course the HDMI 1.3 board. I guess we will have to wait and see.

UPDATE

According to Auzen technical support the AUD-EXT header on the Prelude 7.1 is NOT compatible with
existing Creative expansion devices. Do not try and connect a 5-1/4" drive bay you may permanently damage you card and the drive bay if you do.

shouldn't go by the pre-order prices on things from NCIX. Sometimes those jump up once the card is "for sale".

That has been the "PRICE" quoted to alot of people asking Auzen about the cards production and information related to release.

I am liking the sexy pcb color. If they are 200 or close to it well then Grovers picking one up, after someone else here does and can give us a little review. ;)

I spoke directly with the Auzentech sales rep & their PR guys and I asked about using the Creative I/O , sorry to say they are not compatible.
I have the X-FI Fatal1ty Platinum and would like to use the I/O from mine but nada it's not going to happen. As far as future I/O stuff here's where the answers got muddy, I was able to determine that there is an expansion for the Prelude 7.1 but it will be in the rear. I suggested several times when i was sure they were receptive that "it sure would be cool if you guys had a nice little front panel like a 3.5 " panel with the same setup as the rear expansion panel. I would like to do some recording and don't want to have to get to the back of my computer every time I want to plug in a guitar or keyboard.
The Prelude is supposed to be out this week, I thought I would have one by now actually.

I even offered to send my buddy over to the Auzentech office with cash to pick a couple up, hehe

I thought I mentioned that the two headers were not pin compatible. This was a question asked a few times. People were looking to add their drive bay devices. This is a Auzen spec header. The current X-Tension DIN is compatible. You can see the outline in the Pic where it connects to the AUD_EXT header. The HDMI 1.3 add-on board is coming soon. I can't see why they wouldn't use that AUD_EXT header to the it's fullest potential. I guess we will have to wait and see. Auzen seems to take a very modular approach to it's audio devices. You buy the main card and then buy add-on modules that offer the features you want. Good way to do it, this way you are not paying for features and/or specification you do not want.

Absolutely stupid if they don't come out with a front I/O drive IMO. They will loose out huge with music enthusiasts and the recording buffs.
