New audio setup.

Hey guys, I've been MIA lately due to exams, but now I'm back with my new head-fi setup. Right now, I have a modified X-FI Xtrememusic going into my Little Dot II tube amp, which powers my Alessandro/Grado MS1 headphones. Hopefully I'll be getting my HD600's sometime this month to get the most out of this setup.

Right now, I'm running my music at 96kbps, and it's really great! Hah, kidding, I'm actually only playing FLAC, and it sounds wicked. The tube amp really gives the sound a warm feeling, and it brings out the best of my music.

Looks great! I am in the market for a amp myself. Love the looks of the tube amps, but from everything i have read, they dont play nice with my phones (akg k702). Need to get solidstate for mine. Why did you chose 600's over 650's? Just curious.

Yup, that's totally true with the K702's. I'm going with the 600's over the 650's because a lot of the people I talked to said that the 650's are too laid back, and only sound good when running a balanced XLR setup. I also heard a lot of comments of the 600's as being a good all-around type of headphones. Another leading factor is that I really like the speckled look of the HD600's. =)

Hah, funny stuff. Well, my next choice of headphones really depends on what comes first. I may land on a set of Denon D2000's or the HD600's. We'll see how she goes =)

Weird, I saw some ebony Darth Beyer's go for ~$450.00 USD on head-fi. I guess I let a good deal pass right by me =\
