My System Specs

Default No Sound!!! Gigabyte EX58-UD3R integrated audio

I have no sound on my new computer right now and I'm not sure what's wrong. It was working fine, then while I after about 20 mins of playing Oblivion it cut out. It came back shortly after I exited the game. Again playing Oblivion it cut out, and I was able to get it back. Now it's not working at all. I tried installing audio drivers from the mobo disk but that didn't work. I switched from AC-97 to HD AUDIO... that didn't work either.

Integrated audio - Motherboard is Gigabyte EX58-UD3R

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you try downloading new drivers for your audio codec? Its more then likely realtek without looking at google, id goto their site and try installing their latest driver set.

Doesn't seem likely, but no other piece of hardware in your system has audio, does it? An ATI video cards, for example? See if Windows is recognizing multiple sound devices, might offer a hint there?
