Should be out very soon as Pictures and specification have made their way to the ASUS webpages so they are getting ready to release it.

Yes there are Pre-orders around where you can get in line for one of the first production samples.

Where are some places that are accepting pre-orders currently? Or do you think they'll appear on NCIX or Newegg by the end of this week/beginning of the next?

I haven't personally searched them out but many are overseas according to my Associates. They are only Pre-orders so far...As to when the card is actually going to hit the market for sale...I cannot say. Be patient they are on the way adn you wil be happy with this card it sounds very good.

Also, this card can't do 5.1 analog out can it? I have a nice pair of headphones (which is why I'm getting the card) however I also have a set of Z5500s, so would I need to buy a different sound card for the 5.1 option? I have an Optical and Coaxial cable however I'm trying to achieve 5.1 in games with the Z5500s without losing audio quality and it seems that so far the Xonar D2X would be the best option for 5.1.

The card has been designed to provide the best audio quality for stereo speakers and high quality headphones. The Xonar HDAV 1.3 provides better analog quality then the D2X for analog output, but it is also hard to find. The Essence has optical/Coax digital output so you could use that however, the DAC quality of most of the modern cards will easily surpass the DAC quality on the Z-5500's so in most cases analog connection is preferable. Hope that Helps.
