Default Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Good enough?

My bro bought some nice speakers to hook up to his old computer to play music in his living room, but doesn't have the proper surround sound connectors on the old pc. I found the above card for 20 bucks.

It should get the job done, no?

Sure, it is not what is good enough to us. It is what is good enough for you, if it does what you need and your content with the sound quality then you are alright.Just so you know, that card is fairly dated and the technology has advanced far beyond that point.

Provided its not "peak" wattage RMS is the value that you should be paying all your attention too, also brand is important.

For computers I take logitech, home theatre I'll take infinity or JBL.

Hey scart what brand of speakers?
