OCZ Vendetta 2 CPU Cooler Review comment thread Over the past few weeks we have seen a lot of interest expressed over a certain OCZ Vendetta 2 cooler in our forums. Interestingly enough at the same time OCZ expressed interest in us reviewing the Vendetta 2! This seemed like a great time to do it so after putting it through its paces we came to a few conclusions.... On a side note as promised I included a shot of the base w/ TIM on it...just for you Cpt_Vortex ;) You can read my review here: Vendetta 2 Hope you enjoy it! AkG |
THANK YOU I heart you. Also, great review, looks like these heatsinks are a major step in the right direction (Wonder when Thermalright will give it a try....) http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum...d470892293.jpg |
Nice review AkG, I'll be getting one of these soon too. I found a little mistake though: Quote:

LOL. No problem Cptn. Anytime you got a great idea for a photo op, just let me know and I'll see what I can do. I personally would love to see a TRUE w/ all 6 heatpipes as the base. Solder 'em all together and flatten the whole thing into one solid copper chunk. Polish 'till its a mirror and watch those numbers DROP! Now THAT would rock. |
Good catch wankerfx....must be my subconscious mind at work, as I'm not a fond lover of rifle bearing fans (even if they are more than competent at their job) ;) |
Are you saying you can install the hsf without removing the mobo.. for reals? I hate taking it out for these stupid pushpin intel heatsinks |
Its doable, as long as you have a good pair of long needle nose pliers. It all depends on how much room YOUR rig gives you as you need a bit of head room to get the bottom corners. |
Heh, if someone here has access to high quality machining Mills, I would gladly supply a TRUE for some creative "upgrading".... |
I am just blown away by the performance I wouldn't have expected that from OCZ, but it looks like this DHT is the right step as far as air cooling goes. I agree with you Votex it will be interesting to see if thermalright moves in that direction too or will they just add more heatpipes? EE |
