The Vendetta 2 kept my E8400 @ 3.6 GHZ idling around 35 degrees. At stock speeds, it idled around 30 degrees. I love this cooler. However, it was a pain attaching the fan to the heatsink.

Ok, got a Vendetta 2 for my new computer. I'm mounting it on my Assu P5e3 board.

Will it cause any bending? Should I get one of those back mount thingys? Or should it be fine?

Get the Bolt through kit!! (yes that is the back mount thingy) but it will be fine if you use the pins and don't have any trouble with them.... I did though, so I got the bolt through kit.

I got mine here:
Thermalright LGA775 Bolt-thru Board Mounting kit - (eBay.ca item 270263013831 end time 04-Nov-08 19:32:32 EST)

Only 8.61 US after Shipping to anywhere in Canada, and no taxes.

You can order it from Direct Canada or NCIX.

A bolt through kit is a must have for this cooler. 2 of my push pins are already loosening up. Very annoying to re-adjust them whenever you move/clean your pc.

I have the Sonata III as well as the Vendetta. No prob fitting in there.

I'd recommend you get the bolt thru tho. . . . .mine actually fell off yesterday! Plus, there no local stores that seem to carry the thermalright bolt-thru .. . .

The Vendetta's been such a sport for performance lately, I think I'm scrapping my Water Cooling and just gonna see how good things go when I buy a new CM HAF and give the wife my Antec 900 LOL. I really can't complain about any cooler that has my 3.4GHz Q6600 nicely at 55C full load.
