Default The Achillies S1284 Version 2

I just got it off the fedex truck 5 minutes ago, and i snapped two pictures for you of the different bases, expect to see performance #'s this week of these two heatsinks along with the TRUE black, among other top performers.

yes thats right, the spacing on the base is smaller, and the heatpipes are now fully copper for better heat transfer, i havent opened them yet for better shots, but you will hear more from me this week.

Looked at about 3 reviews, at least 2 of them clearing showing that the last heatpipe on either end only touches the cpu half way, and some part of the middle heatpipes doesn't cover at all either. Hence it doesn't cool as well as its older brother H1283.

Since you are confident that it is a different version, I'll wait for ya review. Good Luck

i dont understand what your saying.... it is a different version, they have different version #'s and all. What im going to be investigating is whether the smaller footprint on the base has any actual affect on its performance.

I think your the one confused. You say that you have a different version of the heatsink that is available on newegg, and also say the version #'s are different. Apparently on Xigmatek's website I only see the one that is available.

And lastly, as I told you if your very positive that it is a different version, I will believe you and wait for your results, now what is so hard to understand in that.
