I really don't recommend this simply because you will be adding minute weight to the fans which is not intended.

The Noctuas can be pretty over hyped fans.

Why are people so worried about the colors? I agree with enaberif - this does add weight and possible stress the bearings if the paint is not spread evenly on the fan.

Noctua fans are great but the reason why they seem overhyped is due to the fact that they go down a route other manufacturers don't - namely, they go performance AND silence.

He used a "dye" but even so its gonna add extra weight even if its like .000000000002g
