PWM Fan Splitter For 3-Pin Fans?

I have two Gelid PWM fan splitters that I have lying around.

If I cut the PWM wire on the splitter could I not use the splitter as a regular 3-pin splitter to control speed off my fan controller?

do not need to cut. !

It will work as a 3 pin cable no problem. just plug in your fans.

Depends on which Gelid PWM splitters you have.

If they have PWM splitters with molex/sata connection to PSU cable you will have 3-pin fans spinning at full speed on 12v power from PSU.

if they are simple "Y" PWM splitter than they will work with no modification as ZZLEE said.

They have the Molex on them. That makes sense. Always wondered why they either spun at 100% or 0%.

:D

Thanks guys!
