How big of an effect does airflow have on cpu temps with the antec 620 Kuhler?

Gentle typhoons in my opinion. There's no noise emitted from the fan itself, as in no annoying humming or buzzing from the motor. If you hear anything, it's just an whisper quiet airy sound. And if you want even quieter, they're great for undervolting.

I'm giving the Vote to the Gentle Typhoons. great static pressure, great air flow, very quiet. The Noctua's are a close second but the color scheme isn't for everyone.

Does the pressure matter? I've seen some companies promoting their fans creating static air pressure (particularly Noctua.)

Is this something that would help cool things better without being louder? I'm thinking concentrated air pressure forced directly into the radiator like Antec Kuhler should help it cool better. Or am I just a big sucker for marketing terms?

^^^static pressure will allow higher air flow through something that is resisting the flow (like a radiator, or air cooler with tightly packed fins). If it is pretty much unrestricted flow static pressure is less of a factor.

I'm a big quiet freak and I've tried tons of fans. My current favourites are the noctua F12s. Followed by the Gentle Typhoons (AP-12 or AP-13). Fractal SSR2s aren't bad either.

I run the F12's at 500 RPM. I have an OC 3930 and mobo on a 3x120 and an oc 680 on a 2x120. @20* ambient I see 22/24 idle, and after 1 hour 100% load via prime 95 and furmark I see 55/52. So they definitely put out enough air for me even at 500 RPM.

cougar vortex 120 mm pwm fans are great, currently having 2 p/p for my water 2.0 pro. inaudible in fractal design r4. you can probably find them around $13 ish each pm'ed, or old school thermalright ty series are good too but they are 140mm but with 120 mm mounting holes, had them in silver arrow near silence as well

Static Pressure is the force the fan applies to the air movement itself. With high pressure densely packed HS's and Rads will see better performance vs fans with little static pressure.
