My System Specs


Maybe it needs one of those passive fans like you see for wood stoves? ;)

Is there any tech inside this at all or is it just a big chunk of copper which relies on case airflow?

That's an odd looking beast. I've used a Scythe Ninja and an HR01 fanless on a QX9650 so fanless can work fine on a hot chip if the case has decent ventilation, but both those seem to have better airflow through the fins that that Zalman.

Having used (and still use) an HR-01 I'd be more interested in this FanlessTech: Thermalright HR-22 preview

Kinda makes me wish the Silent Flux units would have taken off. I like Passive cooling.
