Cooling for a Xeon L5520
Hello folks
I am contemplating getting a Xeon L5520 on ebay and overclocking it a bit, for folding mainly. What kind of air cooling do I need to extract 50% more speed from it's base clock and keep it quiet in the same time? or this is not possible with air cooling?

I used a h212 push/pull on a a 6 core 1366 xeon cpu and it kept it very cool while cooling. I think I had about a 40% oc on it and the h212 performed great. IMO there is no better choice. These things are like 25 bucks, can't beat that for near d14/megahalems performance

why buy a L5520 with a 17x multi

just get a cheap 920 with 21x multi:thumb:

because I think it was cheaper, by 60$ I think, it was on ebay, and it could be popped in a 2P system, while the i7 would not work there, unless just by itself.
