My System Specs

Default Want to change all my fans

So, my case is a little on the loud side, and I'd like to switch out all of my fans in order to quieten it down.

I'm running a Coolermaster 690II Advanced.

I'm currently running case fans in the following positions:

Front intake: 140mm (size maxed out)
Bottom Intake: 120mm (size maxed out)
Top Intake: 1) 120mm (size up to 140mm) 2) 140mm (size maxed out)
Rear Exhaust: 2x120mm push/pull with 120mm rad.

I'd like the rear exhaust 'push' fan to have a blue LED, and needless to say the two rad fans need a high static pressure, as well as a 4-pin connector in order to regulate their speed via the motherboard CPU fan headers.

The rest of the case fans I'd like as such:
front intake: 140mm blue LED
bottom intake: 120mm blue LED
top fans (both positions): 140mm.

These fans don't need a particularly high airflow or pressure since 4 of them should be enough to provide positive pressure. I'd like the case fans to be focused more on silence than any other criteria. If I have to sacrifice the LEDs in order to get a quieter fan, I will, although if a particularly quiet fan is available with LEDs, I'll go that way. My computer has a blue theme going on, so keep that in mind. Red fan blades wouldn't work too well.

The only semi quiet and decent airflow with a blue LED is the Gelid Wing UV Blue LED. NCIX has them for a monster price of $30 for a 120mm :(.

I know this because I have been looking into it myself.

What if I go no LED? I have a Gelid (none LED) and while the removable blade is cool and all, I wasn't that impressed with the noise level.

I use this one for my fans:

GELID Solutions GELID Silent 12TC 750-1500RPM 120MM Thermal Control Fan 58CFM 12-25.5DBA HDB 3PIN - Gelid Solutions Ltd. - FN-TX12-15

But i also uses the PWM version for my dad's rig and its very quiet.

Most people will recommend the noctua series of fans (and the GT 1850's for the radiator) would be what I would recommend as well if they dont need to have LED's.

Check out Corsair's new fans. Non led and they seem to have a fan for just about anything.

The only other blue led fans that I can think of are these coolermaster ones. They are just your basic 3 pin fans but they can usually be pricematched for pretty cheap and they are decent fans for the price in my opinion. I use 2 as intake on my Lian Li case and they do a good job of bringing in air and look good.

The LED fans tend to be noisier due the msot them using a harder, translucent plastic for the fan blades. It is very hard to find a lighted fan that is particualrly quiet.

For non lighted, I'd also vote for Noctua. Scythe Gentle Typhoons and Slipstreams are also good quiet fans.

Im running Xigmatek XAF F1454 140 mm 4 pin PWM fans

the one on the bottem of my case rattels so im going switich to Noctua 140 mm there

Static preasure is horibale on these so not good fore rads but they move air niclely.

On a Corsair 400R carbide case.

:)

Edit : fancy 4 Led on them
