Help me make my computer silent

http://i905.photobucket.com/albums/a...o/51cf0770.jpg

that's my computer atm, i'm running push/pull on the hyper 212 with scythe kaze-jyuni 1900rpms in a corsair 550d.

currently running a stable 4.3ghz on my 3570k.

i was wondering what fans i could use to make my computer silent without giving up performance?
taking out the 2 scythes for sure.

For Silent operation, watercooling is the way to go. Cost A LOT, but you get great performance with silence, or ultimate 24/7 performance with about the same dB as highend air coolers.

If money is an obstacle, then get yourself a fan controller. It will let you reduce the fan's RPM and dont cost a lot.

Noctua pwm fans (or non). Scythe gt's 91850 rpm is badass as well. Watercooling is another route that can be taken but its expensive

forgot to mention that wc is out of my budget =/

how are the 1850 gt's on max?

GT AP-14 are good with no fan controller, and the best way to reduce noise...hack out all the mesh every fan blows/draws air through.

i was actually considering replacing the hyper 212 with a h100 and have a gt 1850 on it, should i go for it?

Adzsask June 17, 2012 04:29 PM

Ya for a rad, stick to tehe AP-15's 1850RPM, the only fan I use :)

jiepo June 17, 2012 04:40 PM

actually, i forgot my case has a cover over the top to dampen noise and i don't want to take it off if i go with a h100 :(

i guess i'll go with a push/pull gt 1850 on the hyper 212

BigPhatPaulie June 17, 2012 05:23 PM

I use the gt's and they are silent at full rpm with great airflow. With that H100 thats a great combo

ok sweet, i'll pick some up
