Default 3 fans on 1 fan header safe?

Is it safe to use 3 fans on 1 fan header using a 3 way splitter? Is there any risk in doing so?

Check the motherboard specs for how much power the header can deliver and calculate how much your 3 fans will consume.

voltage(V) x current(A) = watts(W)

I'm not sure how much power it can deliver. The manual says "The fan power connectors support system cooling fans with +12V."

Where can I find out exactly how much it can deliver?

You could try customer support if none of the manuals on the manufacturer's website has anything. Fan header specs aren't listed in any sort of standardized manner, even when it's two boards manufactured by the same company. (with the exception of Intel branded boards)

If it's your CPU fan header, those are typically capable of over 25W - there shouldn't be any issues if you use one of those.

Ok Maybe I will try email msi customer support.

I did have the fans running off one of the fan headers and nothing happened but I read a post on here about a guy who's fan header burnt out or something and it kind of scared me so I since unplugged it. I will go ahead and connect it to the cpu fan header once I actually get my radiator set up.

Most mobo fan headers are designed for 1 amp. That's 12 watts. If your fans draw more than that, get a splitter board like the Bitspower X-station.

0.083A is what the D1225C12B5AP-15 AKA GT AP-15 draws. I know my mobo can handle it, but I don't know anything about yours, what type is it?

It's a small power draw btw (~.3A).

You won't ever have to worry about power consumption with AP-15's, regardless of how much the motherboard manufacturer cut costs.
