Looking for a Air Cooler Hello, Guys new to the forum here. Anyway am here today looking for a cooler, i have a Intel Core i5 2300, socket 1155 and am looking for a nice air cooler, I have around 40-50 pounds / 60 - 80. I live in the the UK as well so am wondering if you guys could give me some suggestions in what cooler i should buy. Thank you for any suggestions in advance Thanks Jonny |
your selection is often different then ours and pricing is different (some products are better bang for buck here and some are the better there). What online store will you buy from? The most common go to air cooler on a budget is the cooler master hyper 212+ or 212 EVO in Canada IMO. |

Well I was thinking of buying a Noctua NH-U9B SE2 for 40£ or a coolermaster v6 for aroudnd 35£ wanted see if there are anymore I should consider |
Not V6 the Hyper are just far better coolers, there is also Coolermaster X6 ELITE which is one hell of a cooler, very nice reviews on it and one of the easiest coolers to put together, also because of its height it VERY unlikely to get in the way of ram or have spacing issues, its is a very fair sized, decently cost unit and its performance is just astounding. Hyper 212+, Hyper 212 EVO, Hyper 612, X6 ELITE, or a Noctua Unit. There is also Corsair A70 or H50/60 with push/pull(all coolers should be push pull in my opinion) |
From what I've seen, Coolermaster units are typically priced rather poorly in the UK. Last time I was in London, Scythe units were typically priced the most reasonably for performance/value units. I'd go for something like the Scythe Mugen if your case can fit one. |
bang for the buck : Hyper 212 =) |
