Yeah, I think the Scythe Q8 is supposed to be used like that. Mounted in the case, but with the face on the front of the case's external. But that's not what I want. I want my front panel untouched. 600T's side panel takes less then a second to open, so it won't be a problem for me. Just some latches.

If you do, I believe Sunbeam made a PCI mounted controller that could handle a ton of power on 2 channels. You could probably run a large amount of fans off one channel.
I saw this earlier when I was looking around, but I don't like the design. I would have to run cables out to the PCI area of the motherboard which will expose a lot of wiring.

Ended up borrowing your idea. Will pick up one of these. Scythe Kaze Q8 8-Channel Fan Controller at Memory Express and I'll pop it in one of my hard drive racks. It's a good thing that the hard drive bays are facing you when the side panel is opened in the 600T.

Glad to hear it. Sometimes the most obvious solutions are too simple for us to see them. I never had a fan controller mounted internally, but I did have a floppy facing back towards the motherboard back in the day(s) when the only thing we used a floppy for was bios updates.

IMO, most folks don't do much fan speed adjustment once the novelty wears off so I predict you won't be taking the case side off all that often. :)
