Default LGA2011 heatsinks

Are there any budget LGA2011 heatsinks available anywhere in Canada? I will eventually be water-cooling but I'd like to get the rig working in the meantime. Except that I haven't been able to find any LGA2011 compatible heatsink in Canada besides $80+ heatsinks. CPU will be stock so absolutely anything will be fine.

I keep a coolermaster hyper 212+ around for just that reason, they're supposed to ship with 2011 hardware but there was no mention in the product description when I looked on ncix.

If you already have one, or get one without the 2011 bracket they will send you one free with proof of purchase.

I did it, took about 2 weeks if I remember right.

That free adapter is perfect. Newegg gives free shipping w/ the Hyper 212+. Ordered.

Only the R4E, which I don't like much.

Actually , the hole patterns are the same ,it's the bolt assy thats diff.

I took a 1366 mount and drilled out the threads ,4 new screws , voila.

Meh, that doesn't count Ross. You could build a tank in that garage of yours, including the ammo rounds...

I ordered in new 2011 hardware for my Apogee XT. Just bigger screws basically.

I was quite annoyed when Zalman said they would not provide new mounting for my CNPS10X Flex though. They encouraged me to upgrade to a better HS and I told them I would but it would be made by a different company.

Ive been encouraging ASUS to sell the X socket that comes with RIVE board. It will work with any board and w/ x socket you can use any 1366 HS.

Yeah I have to agree, I like Zalman but not when they do practices like that. There FLex is more than Capable.

On topic, I would grab one of the Sealed WC's instead at this point because then you don't have to worry bout what RAM you have getting in the way :)

EDIT - Noticed you were on a budget. There is not much out there. Perhaps keep it on the stock one and grab a sealed kit later.

I agree if I was buying a new cooler I would prob go with a H60 if you can find the new one with 2011 mounting. Cant get for $60 if you shop around

I just needed something temporarily. I already have an XSPC Rasa block ready to be mounted. I just am not ready to watercool it yet.
