My System Specs

Default OCZ Vindicator

So I'm wondering what you guys think of the OCZ Vindicator, I just bought it today and not yet put it on. But wondering if I should have gotten the Thermalright Ultra 120 or not.
let me know what you guys think, if this was a good choice or not.

thanks

here is a comparison of the vindicator to other aftermarket CPU HP solutions. Keep in mind that the temps are higher since its an x6800.

here

Hope that helps. Doesn't seem like a bad piece of hardware.

Hmmmmm

I had a Hyper 6+ on my S939 rig before I switched to water. Great to see that Coolermaster is continuing on with that tradition.

I have an OCZ vindicator on my Q6600, I have no complaints about it other then the 120 fan they supply with it, which is noticeable for its silence, not its cooling. At Idle, my Q6600 at 3.2ghz idles around 34'ish, under load it gets into the high 40's, low 50's.

Ok so I figured I would try the Vindicator, well I am not impressed with it at all, my temps are higher then with my stock cooler.
So I think this pay day I will buy the Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme. with stock cooling my idle temps were 45 to 46C, now they are 50 to 52C
and at load they would hit 60 to 61C now on load they hit 78 to 83C
whats with that
I put a antec 120 fan and put it on high setting.
here is a pic of my set up

Did you clean all the previous thermal compound from the CPU? All the retention clips are locked in?

Your temps should be a lot lower then that.
